Chickpea Detox Salad

While babysitting a friends baby I of course raided their fridge to discover an amazing salad that had my mouth salivating. My friend later explained to me that the heaven in my mouth was actually part of her new detox and healthy living plan she started from reading and following the book JOYOUS HEALTH; Eat and Live Well Without Dieting.
I couldn’t believe it. It tasted so amazing you would have never guessed it was the super healthy Chickpea Detox Salad. I am no Betty Crocker so I quickly learned how to create this myself through this step-by-step video guide by the author and creator of the Chickpea Detox Salad; Joy  McCarthy. Joy is a Holistic Nutritionist and owner of Joyous Heath along with being a nutrition expert for Global’s Morning Show and a freelance writer and consultant to clients around the globe.  Check out the following video link for your recipe guide and to learn the benefits of this detoxifying salad to calm and regenerate your digestive system. The ingredients are a mix of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, vitamins and digestive aids to help cleanse, detox and repair the digestive tract and increase your metabolism.Watch the video above or click here to watch on the Joyous Health page.

That looks amazing! I love anything with a touch of Cayanne pepper! I've been doing a juice detox for lunch each day but this looks like the perfect snack! Thanks for sharing!

Lovely pictures! And what great recipe. The wicked equation of Stress, Sun and Skin - these are like a triple threat for our skin. Unfortunately, our skin reflects whatever is in our system. An overtaxed system (liver and kidney) requires your skin’s help in clearing out the internal toxins. So, when your system gets flooded with toxic waste, your skin starts to emit it out, and thus, the loss in charm. Don’t just slap-and-dash in morning. Commit to anti-ageing by slowing down. Pamper your skin on a daily basis with the right moisturizers and cleansers and of course these yummy treats. But, I feel any detox plan remains incomplete without a little exercise. http://workouttrends.com/yoga-for-beauty-skin-renewal-detox-tips

I modified her recipe a little bit, just to fit our preference and I made my own paleo bread.  Best 3 day detox cleanse
