Osteria Dei Ganzi - Toronto's new hot spot

The C& C Girls Jessie and Leah headed to Toronto’s newest hotspot Osteria dei Ganzi for its grand opening to the public this weekend. The historical mansion turned restaurant is offering an authentic Italian dining experience for Toronto foodies.

"Osteria Dei Ganzi is a tribute to Italian wine, food & culture", says Danny Gunam, Partner, Osteria dei Ganzi. "We're using DOP certified ingredients imported straight from Italy as well as privately imported regional Italian wines which we are proud to offer by the glass. Ganzi is about creating a uniquely European atmosphere that doesn't cost a fortune".

Osteria dei Ganzi is a destination eating experience dedicated to Italian authenticity. Ingredients are DOP (Denominazione di Orgine Protetta- Denomination of Protected Origin) certified and imported straight from Italy. Notable dishes on the dinner menu include a swordfish carpaccio, homemade gnocchi with pachino tomato and osso buco with black peppercorn cremolata and risotto Milanese. All are made according to their original regional recipes. The wine list is revolving and flexible, featuring a high-end selection of Amarone, Barolo and Brunelo that constantly changes to provide an engaging experience for wine lovers. All wines on the list are also always available by the glass.

The unique and romantic building is set in the historical Gooderham family mansion at 504 Jarvis St downtown Toronto. Ganzi's mix of modern and vintage décor provides the perfect backdrop to provide an authentic osteria experience.

Ganzi is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday and brunch Saturday and Sunday. The summer patio (scheduled to open at the end of May) seats 200 people and will feature music, authentic Italian barbecue and expertly crafted European cocktails. Reservations can be made via opentable or email at eat@ganzi.ca.
