Fashion in Downtown Oakville

Beachy Keen Swimwear
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to do a fashion photo shoot at a few downtown Oakville clothing stores with former Bachelor cast member Jessie Sulidis and her Chandeliers and Champagne blog partner Leah Feeley.   Retail expert Robin Edwards and I headed out with the girls to check out the best in fashion at the hottest Oakville retail stores – have a look below at what I captured from the day!

Our visit to downtown Oakville began with Beachy Keen Swimwear (   Beachy Keen is Oakville’s only specialty swimwear boutique, with an amazing selection of designer swimwear and other beach accessories.

Our next stop was Want Boutique (, a store aptly named because there were so many great things that I WANTed to buy.   The staff picked out some great outfits for Jessie and Leah to try on in fun, bright colours – perfect for spring.

No shopping trip is complete without doing a little shoe shopping, so we did a little shopping at Ron White the Foot Shoppe (, just a short walk up the street.

The Mendocino Clothing Company ( was our next destination.  This was probably my favourite shooting location because the store is filled with an eclectic collection of vintage items used in their displays and in little vignettes around the store.  A photographer’s paradise, and of course great fashion too.

After a quick lunch, we were ready to head out again to the greatest little jewellery boutique ever – bluboho (   With a unique design sensibility, blu’s owners have selected a collection of inspiring pieces created by designers that each have a story and purpose.

For the fashion forward, price conscious woman check out Boa (  The stylist outfitted Jessie and Leah with great looks that suited their personalities perfectly – have a look below.

Our final destination of the day was By Tocca (, the perfect place to shop for special occasion and evening wear.  The dresses chosen by their stylist for Jessie and Leah were absolutely stunning!

Thanks to all of the stores involved in this shoot, and to Jessie and Leah for being such great models for me that day.  I am hoping we will work together again soon.  Thanks also to Robin Edwards for thinking of me, and to the Oakville BIA for  providing this opportunity to the stores featured above.
